The Gunners are currently looking for the CCTV footage to identify the culprit.

Tottenham cruised past Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, with a 2-0 victory. Dele Alli and Heung-min Son scored the much-needed goals. The match wasn't short of controversy too, with Alli being hit by a plastic bottle on the head. According to the England international, the incident made his goal much sweeter.

The incident happened after the 22-year-old scored a terrific goal, to add to his side's tally. Spurs are set to meet Chelsea in a two-legged semi-final fixture in January 2019. The rivalry between the two clubs has been rising in recent times, atleast from the perspective of the fans. 17 days earlier, a Spurs fan was arrested for throwing a banana skin at star striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang in a Premier League encounter, which Unai Emery's men won 4-2.

Sweet revenge indeed for Mauricio Pochetinno and his boys!

The former MK Dons player said, "It is what it is. It made the goal a little bit sweeter and the win."

Meanwhile, Pochettino hopes that the culprit will be caught, with Arsenal currently analysing CCTV footage to identify the supporter. The Argentine gaffer went on to say, "It was lucky that it wasn't a big issue. For me, okay we play a derby and we hate each other in a good way but that is in a bad way when you go to damage some people or an opponent. I cannot talk in general because only one stupid person made a mistake. I respect the Arsenal fans, like I respect the professionals from Arsenal and I respect our fans."

He further added, "For one you cannot talk about everyone. I hope that Arsenal take responsibility and through the camera they can identify because it wasn't a problem but it can happen to be a big problem."

Meanwhile, the former Argentina international praised Alli, and said that he loves to play under pressure. The gaffer said, "I think I explained before, Dele is very competitive. He loves to compete. I explained to you that in easy situations he gets bored easily. He feels so comfortable when he's in a very competitive space and situation he always gives his best. Yes, that is a quality he has and you cannot buy that in the supermarket of course."

In the meantime, the Spurs manager is being linked to the void left by Jose Mourinho, in Manchester United. The Old Trafford outfit have appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjær on an interim basis till the end of the season, with Pochettino as the favourite to take over the role next season.
