The Islanders scored a late equaliser to snatch a point from the Steel city.
Thiago Santos rescued a point for Mumbai City FC with a 71st-minute strike against hosts Jamshedpur FC as the two teams settled for an entertaining 2-2 draw in the Hero Indian Super League at JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur on Friday.
Thiago put the visitors ahead in the 20th minute while Nigerian striker Izu Azuka scored two late goals in the first-half to give the hosts a 2-1 lead going into the break. It was Thiago again, who struck midway in the second half and helped them leave the Steel city with a point but there was no denying the class of his first goal.

Jamshedpur FC
Subrata Paul- 5.0
Just as his rating, he had an average game. Not that the Indian Spiderman was capable of saving any of Thiago Santos’ shots, but he could have done better in basic aspects of the game like ball collection and cross interception. As far as senior players go, he did command the respect of his teammates but did little to influence the game.
Anas Edathodika- 5.5
Injury free at last, Anas did not have the desired impact on the game as Coppell would have hoped for. He made only three clearances in an end-to-end match which says a lot about his match fitness.
Shouvik Ghosh- 4.5
While being substituted in the 80th minute was when Shouvik finally came out of hiding apart from when he was taking haphazard corners. With an average 55% passing accuracy, Ghosh wasn’t the player Jamshedpur could rely on to stitch even two passes in midfield. Needs to improve his game if he wants to be taken seriously.
Souvik Chakrabarti- 7.0
Producng six crosses and falling back to defend and make four clearances, shows the work rate of Souvik on the night. An excellent example of how a player can rescue a team of mediocre players was shown by Souvik. Great future ahead for him.
Mehtab Hossain- 7.0
One of the better players on the pitch, Mehtab did well to put pressure on the Mumbai defence. He propelled the Jamshedpur attack, but it was to no avail. He linked the defence with the attack with his 37 passes and to add to that, he also helped his back four with three tackles. He also maintained a high passing accuracy of 70%.
Jerry Mawhmingthanga- 9.0
Jerry Mawhmingthanga was the tormentor of Mumbai City. Continuously attacking down the length of the field and making two excellent assists which left the Mumbai defence startled and setup two amazing goals for the Men of Steel. India manager Stephen Constantine might just have found his new Winger.

Bikash Jairu- NA
Bikash came on to play in the back end of the game with both teams pushing for the win, but had minimal impact as Gerson Vieira successfully kept him at bay.
Siddharth Singh- NA
Siddhart was brought on to waste a precious few minutes when Jamshedpur had decided that they were going to settle for a draw and a draw they secured.

Mumbai City FC
Amrinder Singh- 5.5
Amrinder was beaten by two enthralling goals by Izu Azuka and the main reason for them was a lack of defensive coordination in front of him leading to the goals. Although, Mumbai managed to secure a draw, coming back from an injury was going to be tough for any player.
Mehrajuddin Wadoo- 5.0
Wadoo was the weaklink in defence and some would even suggest that he should be benched. His selection in the starting XI remains an enigma and begs the question, Is he the best they’ve got? The defender needs to be at at least 75% of his level at Chennaiyin FC if he wants to make an impact during the last years of his career.
Raju Gaikwad- 5.5
Gaikwad being taken off the pitch was a sad sight as he had successfully partnered captain Lucian Goian till then. He played an important role at the heart of defence and did really well as he was trying to build on his game after having become a regular starter. Any injury at this stage could dent his hopes and ambitons.
Abinas Ruidas- 8.0
Ruidas had a wonderful game and is continually building on his performances as a left-back. His upward trend in defending can be clearly seen as he made three clearances and two crosses from deep and wide positions. He surely is making himself a fan favourite.
Balwant Singh- 7.0
Balwant showed his versatility as an attacking player and pushed his team forward. Although, he started on the left wing, the striker was a force to be reckoned with down the middle of the park. Even though he did not score, he was responsible for three brilliantly timed tackles.
Sanju Pradhan- 6.0
Pradhan produced another average performance and played as a wing-back as the defence shifted to a three at the back with Gaikwad’s departure. He made four tackles and four clearances in the game but had little impact otherwise, you would not have sensed his presence.

Zakeer Mundampara-7.0
[KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]Zakeer was touted as one for the ages and he did do his part having been thrust in in midfield. He shone well with Achille Emana and Vieira playing alongside him which troubled the Jamshedpur defence to quite an extent.
