Indian Player Ratings: Kamaljit Singh and Mohammad Nawaz show class, Mohamed Ali disappoints
It was a night for goalkeepers from both the sides, who proved their mettle with some brilliant saves throughout the match.
In a shocking night for FC Goa, home side FC Pune City pulled off a brilliant 2-0 win, thanks to goals from skipper Marcelinho and Marko Stankovic, who scored a late penalty. With this win, The Stallions will be aiming to continue their resurgence in the ISL this season.
An encounter to remember for @FCPuneCity as the Stallions managed to keep the lethal @FCGoaOfficial attack at bay, scored 2⃣ past their defence and collected full points at home. More videos: https://t.co/8jtqJIjojH#ISLRecap #LetsFootball #HeroISL #FanBannaPadega #PUNGOA pic.twitter.com/KjUmdsBuQw

Watch: The custodian had a match and displayed confidence
Kamaljit pulled off a couple of magnificent saves in the first half, especially the one in the 24th minute, as he continued his supernb form for the Stallions. Apart from a bad goal-kick in the dying minutes of the first half, it was a great start by the custodian to keep the scores level.
In the 70th minute, he once again made a magnificent save from a Hugo shot but was luckily saved by the woodwork again when the same man struck in the 76th minute. Earned a yellow card for time-wasting. Made another great block late in the 88th minute, from a dangerous looking corner.
Nim Dorjee Tamang -7.0

Watch: Tamang almost found the back of the net with a header
Nim had a slow start to the game, as he didn’t get many touches of the ball in the first half and his passing accuracy too was poor at just 53%. He was in a good position late in the 89th minute, but couldn’t link-up well with Diego Carlos to scorer. Overall, it was a decent performance by him.
Adil Khan - 8.0
As usual, the veteran midfielder was outstanding while defending, as he made an extraordinary 10 tackles in the first half itself. Overall, it was a solid night by Adil, as he went on to complete 14 tackles and eight clearances in the game, but needs to improve while attacking.
Sarthak Golui - 7.0
Like Nim, Golui too had a slow start to the game, as Pune’s attack was mostly carried out from the left wing. Nevertheless, the right-back performed a couple of good blocks in the first half and kept Mandar Rao Dessai at bay. He made a great block on Carlos late in the 87th minute. Golui had a very good game, as he was pretty strong while defending.
Ashique Kuruniyan - 7.0
Ashique was outstanding on the ball, as he looked deadly from the left wing in the opening minutes. However, apart from a few dangerous runs, he was kept quiet by Seriton for the majority of the first half. It wasn’t his best performance, but he certainly played his part in the win.
Robin Singh - 5.0
Yet another poor performance by the forward, as he committed a foul in the very first minute. He also missed a chance from close range in the 40th minute. Was eventually replaced in the 75th minute by Diego Carlos as the Stallions took the lead.
Substitutes
Gurtej Singh - 6.5
Came on in the 65th minute to replace the injured Matt Mills and ensured Pune kept their lead as he made a couple of good clearances.

Watch: Nawaz was helpless during both the goals as his side settled for a disappointing loss
The 18-year-old was good in the first half, but was badly hit on yjr face while intercepting Marcelinho’s run. Nevertheless, he continued in the game after being stitched up. He pulled off an amazing save in a one-on-one situation against Marcelinho in the 71st minute, but was helpless when the Brazilian struck wonderfully in the 75th minute to give the Stallions the lead. Was helpless during both the goals as his side settled for a disappointing loss.
Seriton Fernandes - 7.0
It was a rock-solid performance by Seriton as he pocketed Ashique on the left wing for the majority of the first half, with nine tackles made. Seriton had a good individual game, but he couldn’t prevent his team losing. Overall, the defender made 12 tackles, two clearances and two blocks.
Lenny Rodrigues - 6.5
Lenny was pretty good in the Goan midfield, as he kept his passing accurate apart from a few sloppy passes in the first half. He also put in a great cross for Hugo Boumous in the 41st minute, though the latter couldn’t finish it. He was eventually substituted in the 77th minute as Jackichand Singh came on.
Brandon Fernandes - 6.5

Watch: Brandon couldn’t stop his team from losing but he tried his best
Brandon looked pretty active in the first half as he posed a great threat while with the ball, showing his pace. He attempted a couple of shots and got one on target too. The midfielder couldn’t stop his team from losing, but he tried his best by keeping his passes accurate with a 76% completion rate.
Mandar Rao Dessai - 6.0
The skipper had a slow start to the game and his only highlight in the first half came in the 34th minute, when he created a chance for Ferran Corominas who hit the crossbar. Otherwise, he was kept quiet by Golui for most of the time. The wing-back put in a good cross in the 60th minute, but no Goa player was present on the spot to finish it. He was eventually replaced by Carlos Gonzalez in the 82nd minute.
Mohamed Ali - 5.0
Ali was good in the first half while defending, as he made a couple of good tackles and clearances, but wasn’t to troubled otherwise. Conceded a penalty late in injury-time to add to Goa’s woes, as he pulled Stankovic by the shirt and he went on to score the second goal for Pune.
Substitutions
Jackichand Singh - 5.5
Came on in the 77th minute to replace Lenny when his side was trailing by a goal and couldn’t help much.
