Asian Games 2026 Day 4 Live: Manu Bhaker, Mirabai Chanu to be in action today

With the first gold medal in the bag, the Indian contingent will head into Day 4 at the Asian Games 2026 with an opportunity to double the medal count, with several big names in action on Wednesday (September 23).
Double Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker will start her campaign today in the 10m Air Pistol individual and team events. She will be joined by Esha and Suruchi Singh as the pistol shooters look to better the five medals won by rifle shooters so far at the 2026 Asian Games.
In action will also be yet another Olympic medallist and weightlifting legend Mirabai Chanu, who is surprisingly still chasing a maiden Asian Games medal. Chanu will compete in the women’s 49kg category.

Meanwhile, Commonwealth Games medallist, Gyaneshwari Yadav will aim for the same in the women’s 53kg category. She clinched silver in Glasgow last month on her CWG debut and will hope to do the same in Aichi-Nagoya.
The skeet events will also culminate today after two days of action. A troika of Indian athletes will contend for the team medals as well as qualification to the individual finals in both mens’ and women’s events.
Elsewhere, in badminton, after defeating Japan to assure a medal for a second straight edition of the Asian Games, the men’s badminton team will hope to take a step further and enter the final.

They also reached the final in 2022, going down to China in the gold medal match. It is China, who India will face for a place in the final.
Wednesday will see several athletes start their campaign in squash as well as rowing and Canoe Sprint.

India’s day will begin at 5:30 am IST, with Sepaktakraw, Soft Tennis and rowing events lined up.
