India began the day with medals in squash, as both the men’s and women’s teams secured bronze. The women’s team of Anahat Singh, Joshna Chinappa and Tanvi Khanna lost 1-2 to Hong Kong in the semifinal.

The men’s team also went down 1-2 to Malaysia, with Veer Chotrani winning his match after Abhay Singh’s defeat before Velavan Senthilkumar lost the deciding rubber. India therefore finished with bronze in both team events.

In sailing, Manu Francis and Prince Noble Kurisinkal won silver in the men’s skiff. The Indian pair finished second behind China after nine races with 23 net points, giving India its first sailing medal at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

Ganesh Mani Ratnam Thirumuru won bronze in the men’s individual compound archery event. He defeated Vietnam’s Cong Duc Dang 149-144 in the bronze medal match after losing his semifinal to Korea’s Kim Jongho 144-148. The medal was India’s first individual compound archery medal at the Asian Games 2026 and Ganesh’s second medal of the Games.
