Asian Games 2026: India's updated schedule for Day 12 (October 1)

Archery, canoe slalom, track cycling, sport climbing, squash and wrestling will offer medal opportunities

The Asian Games 2026 enter the final three days, with Thursday marking Day 12 of the 20th edition of the continental showpiece. India will once again be involved across several disciplines, with a host of medal opportunities awaiting the contingent.

Wednesday’s Day 11 proved to be India’s most productive day at the Games so far, with the contingent securing four gold medals. Three of those came in archery — the women’s team compound, mixed team compound and men’s team compound events.

Shooting also added another gold to its impressive haul, with Kynan Chenai and Neeru Dhanda claiming the mixed trap team title.

Alongside the gold medals, India also secured two bronze medals in boxing, with Priya Ghanghas in the women’s 60kg category and Kapil Pokhariya in the men’s 90kg event settling for third place. The day’s haul took India to seventh in the medal table with 59 medals — 10 gold, 21 silver and 28 bronze.

On Day 12, archery, canoe slalom, track cycling, sport climbing, squash and wrestling will be the key disciplines to watch for India, with several medal opportunities on offer. The contingent will also be in action in men’s cricket, golf, men’s hockey, rugby sevens and sepak takraw.
