Asian Games 2026, Day 10, India Schedule

Athletics and shooting will be among the sports to offer medal opportunities

The Asian Games 2026 is entering its business end, with Tuesday set to witness Day 10 action at the continental showpiece. The Indian contingent will once again be in action across several sporting disciplines as it looks to add to its medal tally.

India’s campaign has been impressive overall, but there have also been several missed opportunities, particularly in badminton, where the contingent managed just one medal — a bronze in the men’s team event.

The underwhelming campaign in the sport will hurt India, especially as the nation faces an uphill battle to better its medal tally from the previous edition.

Of the 45 medals India has won so far, four are golds, coming in women’s cricket, shooting, and the men’s and women’s kabaddi events.

While India can expect to add a few more golds to its tally, several silver and bronze medals are also likely to come in the remaining days.

India currently has 20 silver and 21 bronze medals, with shooting, athletics, squash, weightlifting, wushu, badminton, mixed martial arts, rowing, soft tennis and table tennis contributing to the haul.

Kurash became the latest addition to the list on Monday, with Pincky Balhara winning bronze in the women’s 78kg category.

On Tuesday, athletics and shooting will be among the disciplines offering medal opportunities for India, with Mohammed Afsal Pulikkalakath (800m), Avinash Sable (1,500m) and Gulveer Singh (1,500m) among the athletes to watch out for.

The contingent will also be in action across archery, boxing, kurash, track cycling, sailing, squash, surfing and volleyball.
