China Open is returning after four years in the BWF circuit. The BWF China Open 2023 is one of the four Super 1000 tournaments in the BWF World Tour this season. It will commence on September 5. The competition has been held annually since 1986. The 2023 edition will take place at Changzhou Olympic Sports Centre Xincheng Gymnasium in Changzhou, Jiangsu, China and has a total prize of $2,000,000 which is the biggest prize money offer for the season calendar except BWF World Tour Finals.
Indonesia is sending a strong squad to the China Open 2023. Their Major hopes will be on the recently crowned silver medalist at the BWF World Championships Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadanti. The biggest concern will be their men's singles department as they are highly inconsistent and had a bad outing in the recently concluded World Championships.
