Shuttlers who have qualified for BWF World Tour Finals after China Masters 2023

Kodai Naraoka and Han Yue have become the latest to qualify for the season’s final tournament.
After the conclusion of BWF China Masters 2023, we finally have the full list of players to have qualified for the BWF World Tour Finals 2023. The China Masters served as the final qualification tournament for the World Tour Finals. A total of eight best players/pairs from the current season make it to the prestigious year-ending competition.
In this article, let’s look at the players who have qualified for the BWF World Tour Finals. This list isn’t official and BWF will publish the confirmed list in the upcoming days.
Men’s Singles
Two men’s singles players to qualify for the finals after the China Masters 2023 are Kodai Naraoka and Anders Antonsen. The former went a step further to win the title and top the BWF World Tour 2023 rankings by securing 91470 points. Meanwhile, Anders Antonsen became the last player to qualify for the BWF World Tour finals.

Women’s Singles
Han Yue’s runner up finish has ensured that she has enough points to leapfrog her compatriot He Bingjiao, who had to retire in the mid-way after getting injured in the quarterfinals round. She qualified for the BWF World Tour Finals 2023 with 92,060 points.

Men’s Doubles
Liu Yuchen/Ou Xuanyi’s quarter-final finish at the China Masters ensured their qualification for the year-end tournament. They finished the season with 84,460 points. Muhammad Fikri/Bagas Maulana also qualified for the BWF World Tour Finals despite losing in the opening round.

Women’s Doubles
Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida qualified for the tournament after winning the China Masters title. The pair has accumulated a total of 96,690 points. They finished ahead of their compatriots Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota – currently positioned fifth. Only two pairs can qualify from a nation for the competition, so the latter after finishing fifth failed to qualify.
Despite retiring in the second round, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Ramadhanti has enough points – 84,530 on the board to qualify for the BWF World Tour Finals 2023. The final pair to qualify for the tournament is Thailand’s Jongkolphan Kititharakul/Rawinda Prajongjai.

Mixed Doubles
Tang Chu Man/Tse Ying Suet qualified for the BWF World Tour Finals 2023 after a semi-final finish at the China Masters. They qualified with 81,520 points in 21 tournaments. The Malaysian young guns Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei, despite losing the opening round at China Masters, progressed through as they were 1500 points ahead of the final qualifying spot.
