The Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships 2025 starts on Feb 11 in Qingdao, China. This is the fourth edition of the biennial tournament which began in 2017 and crowns the best mixed team in Asia. China are the defending champions and have won two out of three editions (2019, 2023) while Japan won the inaugural title in 2017. India won its first ever podium finish, a bronze, in Dubai 2023.

Now India return with a team led by Lakshya Sen and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty duo but without PV Sindhu. The two-time Olympic medallist withdrew after sustaining a hamstring injury during a training camp in Guwahati. No replacement has been named so Malvika Bansod, India’s No. #2 will have to take up the mantle in women’s singles.

In men’s singles, HS Prannoy will partner Sen, while Satwik-Chirag will spearhead the men’s doubles. Treesa Jolly-Gayatri Gopichand and the experienced duo of Ashwini Ponnappa-Tanisha Crasto will handle women’s doubles.

The 2025 Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships will take place from February 11 to 16 in Qingdao, China. All matches will take place at the Conson Gymnasium.
