Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships 2025: Updated schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

India won bronze medal in the 2023 edition.
After the Asian leg of the BWF World Tour and a gap of one week, the badminton action resumes with the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships 2025. The tournament will commence on February 11 and end on February 16, with matches scheduled to be held at the Conson Gymnasium, in Qingdao, China. The Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships 2025 will also act as a qualifier for the Sudirman Cup, with all four semifinalists guaranteed to qualify.
If hosts China also finish in the top four, then their spot will be given to the next best-ranked Asian Team in the rankings as China have already qualified by virtue of being a host and defending Champions.

Tournament history
The inaugural edition of the biennial badminton tournament was held in 2017. Japan won the first title after defeating South Korea (3-0) in the finals. China and Thailand won the bronze medal in the inaugural edition. The second edition was held in 2019 and was won by China who defeated defending champions Japan (3-2) in a thrilling final. Hong Kong and Indonesia won the bronze medal respectively.
In 2021, the tournament was not held due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The third edition of the tournament took place in 2023 where China defeated South Korea (3-1) in the finals. India and Thailand won the bronze medal that year. The bronze was India’s first medal in the competition history.

Format
Initially, there were 13 teams, but Philippines withdrew from the tournament. The 12 teams were then divided into four groups with three teams each. The four seeds of the tournament have been placed in different groups. The seeded teams are—China, South Korea, Japan and Indonesia.
Group A – China, Chinese Taipei, Singapore
Group B – Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong
Group C – Japan, Thailand, Kazakhstan
Group D – South Korea, India, Macau
Each team will play against the other in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will then qualify for the Knockouts. The format for the tie is as follows:
Each tie will consist of five matches, which will have one match of each discipline (men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles). The first team to win three matches will win the tie. In the group stages, all five matches will be played irrespective of the result. While in the knockouts, the tie will be over when a team wins three matches.
