The menâs Indian cricket team will don the new jersey in the ODI series against England in February 2025.
The new ODI jersey of the Indian cricket team (both menâs and womenâs) has been launched by the BCCI in partnership with kit sponsors Adidas and Dream11 on Friday.
At the BCCI Headquarters in Mumbai, the boardâs Honorary Secretary Jay Shah and womenâs team captain Harmanpreet Kaur unveiled the new ODI jersey.
Similar to the previous jersey, âDream11â and âIndiaâ occupy the majority of the space in the front side. It also had the logo of BCCI and Adidas. There are two stars above the BCCI logo, representing the two ODI World Cups wins by the Indian cricket team (both by the menâs side).
The back of the jersey has the playerâs name and jersey number on it.
The most attractive feature of the new ODI jersey of Team India is the tricolor stripes on the shoulder, which gives it a stunning look and evokes emotion of patriotism among the fans and players.
Harmanpreet Kaurâs womenâs team will be the first side who will get to wear this new ODI jersey when they host the West Indies women in December.
Rohit Sharmaâs men sideâs next ODI series is in February next year â a three-ODI series at home against England, which will be followed by the Champions Trophy.
At the unveiling event, Harmanpreet said, âItâs an honor to unveil the jersey today. Really happy that we are the first one who are going to wear this jersey when we play West Indies. Really like the look. The tricolor is looking really beautiful. Happy that we have got a special ODI jersey.â
