BCCI provides update on Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Prasidh Krishna's injuries

Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer will be important for India in the 2023 ODI World Cup.
Team India have been struggling with injuries to their key players. The last couple of years saw a number of Indian players get injured and miss out on a number of series and tournaments. Jasprit Bumrah was one of the biggest names in that. The pacer suffered a back injury and has been out of action since September 2022. He missed the T20 World Cup, the IPL, and the WTC final as well.
Shryeas Iyer also had a back issue, which ruled him out of the IPL and WTC final. Meanwhile, KL Rahul injured his shoulder during an IPL game, and since then, he has been out. On the other hand, star wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant suffered a car accident in December 2022 and has been another one to miss out. Prasidh Krishna, another Indian player, is also recovering from an injury.
BCCI provides an injury update on Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Prasidh Krishna
Amid the latest developments, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has provided major updates on the injury list that India has at the moment. Notably, all the above players are on their rehab program at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. As per the update by the BCCI medical team, both Bumrah and Krishna have almost completed their rehab program and are bowling their full quota of overs at the nets. These two will play some practice games, which will clear their availability on the team.
On the other hand, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer have started batting sessions after recovering from injuries. Both players are going through some necessary strength and fitness drills at the NCA. The BCCI medical team is planning to increase their intensity in terms of both skills and strength and conditioning in the coming days.
On the other hand, Rishabh Pant has made great progress in his recovery. As per the latest update, he has started batting and wicket-keeping and is working on the special fitness program planned by the medical team to check his strength, flexibility, and running. All these updates have come as big news for the Indian team and fans because all these players are important parts of the ODI team, and with the Asia Cup 2023 and the ODI World Cup coming up, India will need all of their key players fit.
