South African skipper Temba Bavuma didnât have a great day personally at Supersport Park in Centurion as he had to limp off the field due to a hamstring injury. Former South African opener Herschelle Gibbs has not taken this well and severely criticised Bavumaâs fitness.
Herschelle Gibbs hits out at Temba Bavuma
Former South African opener Herschelle Gibbs called Temba Bavuma âoverweightâ and also questioned his place in Proteas squad. Gibbs tweeted, âIronic that the coach allows some players who are clearly unfit and overweight to play when he started off as proteas trainer in 2009.â Herschelle Gibbs didnât look happy with the way Temba Bavuma is continuously missing the action.
Temba Bavuma is currently undergoing treatment as the medical team is having daily medical evaluations to determine his participation in the ongoing game.
