India will face Netherlands in final group match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Sunday.
Indian team have been the team that are unbeaten in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. They have beaten all the opposition so far and are at the top of the points table. India will play the first semi-finals on November 15 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. But before that, they will face Netherlands.
That is the final group match of the tournament, which will take place on Sunday in Bengaluru. It will be the ideal match to test the bench strength, and India might make some changes to their team. Hence, we will talk here about the predicted playing XI for India against Netherlands on Sunday.
IND vs NED: India’s Predicted playing XI vs Netherlands
1. Rohit Sharma (C) :
With less strong opposition and shorter boundaries, we might see a different avatar of Rohit Sharma. The way he has performed so far, fans will expect some fireworks from him on Diwali. He will be the biggest threat to Dutch. Rohit has scored 442 runs at a strike rate of 122.77 with 22 sixes, which has been India’s strength so far.
2. Shubman Gill :
Shubman Gill will eye a big score before heading into the knockouts, and it will be the perfect platform for him. He has scored 219 runs with two half-centuries and has not scored a hundred till now. So we might see him scoring a hundred on Sunday, and it will be a brilliant way to end the group stage.
3. Virat Kohli :
Virat Kohli is in the form of his life and is coming off his 49th ODI ton in the last game against South Africa. Bengaluru is his home ground in IPL, and he has scored lots of runs at this venue. With 543 runs, he is the third-highest in the tournament and will eye that magical figure of the 50th ODI ton on Sunday.
4. Shreyas Iyer :
Shreyas Iyer has seemed to find his form back and has played two good knocks in the last two matches. He has scored 293 runs at an average of 48.83 with three half-centuries and will be looking to continue that form and confidence in the next game to produce yet another exciting innings.
5. KL Rahul :
KL Rahul has scored runs in tough conditions when the top-order failed. Hence, he is the pillar in Indian middle-order. He can play according to the situation and score runs against spin and pace, which makes him an important player on this team. He has scored 245 runs at an average of 61.25 and has been a consistent performer.
6. Ishan Kishan :
Ishan Kishan played the first two games for India in the absence of Shubman Gill. But he is expected to be back on the team as it is a dead rubber game. He is likely to replace Suryakumar Yadav. The left-hander can play anywhere in the batting-order and can smash any bowling attack, and that will be his role in this game.
7. Ravindra Jadeja :
Ravindra Jadeja has been pretty effective in the last few matches for India. He has done a great job in both departments, which is a big confidence booster for India ahead of knockouts. Jadeja has taken 14 wickets at a brilliant economy rate of 3.76 and has played some crucial cameos for India. In Hardik’s absence, he will be India’s go-to player in knockouts.
8. Ravi Ashwin :
Ravi Ashwin played the first game for India but didn’t get a chance after that. However, as India have already made it to the semi-finals, he will be expected to get a chance. It will be pretty good, as he is India’s most experienced spinner and will be a challenge for Dutch.
9. Shardul Thakur :
Shardul Thakur is another change that is expected as India will look to give rest to their prime pacers. Shardul has played three matches but has been on the expensive side. But it will be a great opportunity for him to make his mark, and he will be keen to perform for India. He will also add value with the bat in his hand.
10. Prasidh Krishna :
Prasidh Krishna replaced Hardik Pandya in Indian squad, and he might make his World Cup debut on Sunday. He is a pretty good bowler who made his comeback from injury a few months ago. Krishna can swing the ball and will be the bowler to watch out for on Sunday.
11. Mohammed Siraj :
Mohammed Siraj will be back at what he does the best, which is taking wickets with the new ball. He has taken 10 wickets so far, and most of those came with the new ball in the powerplay. Netherlands already have an out-of-form top-order, and Siraj can exploit them.
