India's tour of West Indies 2023 to be streamed for free on JioCinema

Jio Cinema broadcasted recently concluded Indian Premier League season on digital platform.

India will be traveling to the West Indies in July 2023 to play a multi-format series consisting 2 tests, 3 ODIs, and 5 T20Is against the men in maroon. It will be a month-long tour of the Caribbean for team India before the big Asia Cup in September.

Jio Cinema has announced they will stream India's tour of the West Indies for free as they have acquired the digital rights for the month-long tour. Jio Cinema also broadcasted Indian Premier League games free of cost with multiple language commentary options. According to Jio, they created new records in viewership in the two months of the Indian Premier League season 2023.

Viewers will be able to watch the limited-overs series between India and the West Indies in various local languages as well. Along with English and Hindi, Jio will also give access to Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. It will be the first time in history, a bilateral limited-overs series will be broadcasted in 5 local languages.

After getting the digital rights, Viacom 18 sports head of strategy, partnership, and acquisition Hursh Shrivastava said, “Jio Cinema offered a seamless streaming experience that resulted in astonishing benchmarks never heard of, we pushed the boundaries of technical capabilities to affirm that sports is best experienced digitally”

For the upcoming India tour of the West Indies, Viacom 18 looks very positive. Hursh Shrivastava added, “With the India tour of West Indies 2023, we will forge ahead and offer our viewers a world-class presentation”. India’s tour will begin with the World Test Championship campaign at Windsor Park in Dominica from 12th July. The 2nd test will be played at Queen's park oval in Port of Spain from 20th July. The limited overs series will begin on 27th July with the first ODI and then the remaining two on 29th July and 1st August. T20Is will begin on 3rd August and will end on 13th August.
