IPL 2025 mega auction: James Anderson remains unsold after no franchises show interest
James Anderson has never featured in the IPL.
Regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers of all time, James Anderson made his T20I debut in 2007 against Australia at Sydney. Anderson cemented his legacy, claiming 991 wickets in his international career.
While his last T20I appearance came in 2009, Anderson’s ability to swing the ball both ways makes him an exciting prospect in the shortest format of the game. Anderson has taken 41 wickets in 44 T20 games across his career.
James Anderson unsold at the IPL 2025 mega auction
Veteran fast bowler James Anderson remained unsold at the IPL 2025 mega auction. Anderson’s name went uncalled during the two-day IPL auction as franchises showed no interest in him during the accelerated bidding process.
Anderson can still get the opportunity to participate in the next season of the IPL if any team calls him as an injury replacement during the season.
