IPL 2025 mega auction: List of all players bought by RCB on day 1

RCB entered the IPL 2025 mega auction with a purse of INR 89 crores.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction kicked off on November 24, Saturday. The two-day event features all 10 franchises engaging in an intense bidding war to fill a total of 204 available slots.
Three-time IPL finalists, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), entered the auction with a purse of INR 89 crores. Retaining only three players – Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Yash Dayal, the franchise had the challenging task of rebuilding the whole squad for the upcoming season.
RCB started the auction in an aggressive manner bidding highly for Indians stars KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant. Their first breakthrough in the auction came later when they bought English all-rounder Liam Livingstone.
RCB have made several key signings, adding star players like Josh Hazlewood, Phil Salt and Jitesh Sharma to their squad. Phil Salt has been roped in by the franchise as a long-term replacement of Faf Du Plessis, who was released by the franchise earlier this year.
Josh Hazlewood’s return to Chinnaswamy will add depth to their fast bowling reserve. Hazlewood will partner with Yash Dayal forming one of the most disciplined new ball attacks in the competition.
