Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by four runs in the match No. 19 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Chasing a 239-run target in the clash, Ajinkya Rahane (61) and Venkatesh Iyer (45) smacked amazing knocks with the bat for KKR.

Earlier in the first innings, LSG posted a mountainous 238/3 on the scoreboard. Opener Aiden Markram slammed quickfire 47 runs off 28 balls. His opening partner Mitchell Marsh also supported him well, smacking 48-ball 81 with five sixes.

One-down Nicholas Pooran slammed KKR bowlers all over the park, registering a stunning knock of unbeaten 87 runs off just 36 balls. KKR bowlers largely failed to dismantle LSG’s dangerous top-order batters from going big. Harshit Rana picked two wickets while Andre Russell clinched one scalp. Other bowlers failed to get any wickets.
