IPL 2024 auction will take place on 19th December, 2023 in the UAE.

The stage has been set, and the mini-auction for the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to take place on December 19 in the UAE. All ten teams have 5 crore extra to spend at the auction, which will make this event more interesting.

5. Jofra Archer:

English superstar Jofra Archer was part of the Mumbai Indians for 2022 and 2023 seasons, but he didn’t play in 2022 due to injury and managed to play only 5 games in 2023. However, he was supposed to take part in the IPL 2024, but MI have released him ahead of the auction. He was with MI at a price of INR 8 crores. 4. Shardul Thakur:

An Indian all-rounder is always a rarity, and Shardul Thakur comes with such a skill-set that he can win the game with the bat and the ball. He was part of the Kolkata Knight Riders for a price of INR 10.75 crores but has been released. It is expected that teams will fight after him, and it looks that he can also attract more than 10 crores.

The hero of the World Cup 2023 final, Travis Head, will be the most exciting name to feature at the auction. The left-hander is in the form of his life and led Australia to win the World Cup and WTC finals as well, winning Man of the Match awards in both finals. He is a dasher at the top and can also roll his arms over, which is another aspect. As a result, teams will surely look to have him at any cost in the IPL 2024.

Notably, Travis Head was part of RCB camp back in 2016 and 2017, where he played 10 matches and managed to score only 205 runs. But this time around with experience and his aggressive approach with the bat, he will be amongst the hottest picks in the IPL 2024 auction.
