Rohit Sharma breaks Eoin Morgan's record of hitting most sixes by a captain in a World Cup edition

Indian captain Rohit Sharma has broken several batting records in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma played another swashbuckling knock in the tournament and scored his fourth fifty-plus score in the World Cup 2023. Rohit smashed the ball with full might and provided India a flier for the opening wicket along with Shubman Gill. Rohit has several batting records with his aggressive batting approach.
Indian captain has now broken the record of former England skipper Eoin Morgan. Rohit Sharma has gone past Morgan’s record of most sixes hit by a captain in single edition of ICC Cricket World Cup. Morgan held the record with 22 sixes in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Rohit Sharma has so far managed to hit 24 sixes in 9 games in the ongoing tournament. Rohit Sharma potentially has two more innings left in the tournament to extend his lead in this record.
Apart from Rohit Sharma and former English skipper Eoin Morgan, this list includes players like AB De Villiers, who hit 21 sixes in the World Cup 2015, former Australian skipper Aaron Finch, who hit 18 sixes in the World Cup 2019, and former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum, who smashed 17 sixes in the World Cup 2015.

De Villiers was dominating all opponents during that time in his international cricket career.
