The IND vs SA final will be played at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on June 29.

The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final will be contested between champions of the inaugural edition, India and first-time finalists South Africa at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados, on June 29. Both sides are unbeaten in the tournament until now.

Team India will look to clinch their second T20 World Cup title, having won the inaugural edition in 2007, whereas the Proteas will look to win their maiden ICC World Cup trophy in any format. In the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024, both sides have displayed phenomenal performances with both bat and ball. 

The Rohit Sharma-led India and Aiden Markram’s South Africa finished at top of the points table in both group and Super 8 rounds of their respective groups at T20 World Cup 2024. In semi-final 1, the Proteas hammered Afghanistan by nine wickets to reach their maiden men’s T20 World Cup final. 

In semi-final 2, the Men in Blue crushed defending champions England by 68 runs. Rohit Sharma has now taken his side to three ICC finals in a span of 12 months; India lost the previous two to Australia.

IND vs SA final: Barbados Weather report

The weather remains a serious concern for the stakeholders as a storm warning has been issued for June 29 in Barbados.

According to Accuweather.com, the weather on June 29 will be cloudy and windy, with thunderstorm prediction in some parts of the area. The probability of precipitation will be 46%, whereas the probability of thunderstorms will be 28% throughout the day.

Is there any reserve day for the IND vs SA ICC T20 World Cup final clash?

Yes, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has allotted a reserve day for the India vs South Africa final in the T20 World Cup 2024. If the final doesn’t get completed on the scheduled day (June 29), then it will move into the reserve day (June 30).

But, before that, there are an additional 190 minutes allotted on the scheduled match day in case rain interrupts the final. The officials will try to complete the match on Saturday.

Who will win the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final if rain washes out the whole match?

If the final is washed out on both Saturday and Sunday, both India and South Africa will be declared as joint winners and both will lift the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 trophy.
