Travis Head smashed 10 fours and 7 sixes during his century in Dharamsala.

Australia's fireworks continue as Dharamsala witnessed early Diwali at HPCA Stadium. Australia opener Travis Head made an impactful return in the Australia playing Xi and went on to score a magnificent century. Travis Head’s intentions were clear from the first ball and started smashing New Zealand pacers from the beginning. After a magnificent opening stand along with David Warner, Travis Head went on to score his 4th ODI hundred.

Travis Head began hitting a boundary against Trent Boult in his first over and kept his assault going till he was there at the crease for Australia. Twitter users started a meme fest as soon as Travis Head started taking on the bowlers. Social media also praised Travis Head’s power-hitting ability even after being away from action for more than a month due to a fracture in the left hand. Travis Head got injured during South Africa and missed the first five league games for Australia.

Here's how twitter reacted to Travis Head's scintillating century:

Head's assault against Kiwis

Left-hand batter Travis Head completed his century in just 59 balls. This was the 4th fastest century scored by an Australian in ODI cricket. This is also Head’s 4th ODI century and coincidentally all of them have come when he played as an opener for the team. Glenn Maxwell holds the record for the fastest ODI century by Australian batsmen in the World Cup as well as in the ODI format. Maxwell smashed a 40-ball hundred against the Netherlands at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi.

Travis Head took just 25 balls to complete his half-century but slowed down a bit after reaching 80. Glenn Phillips got David Warmer out and that made Travis Head a little bit quieter in his innings further. Travis Head also lost his wicket to Glenn Phillips, who castled him on an arm-ball. Head missed a straight delivery from Phillips completely and lost his wicket after a magnificent 109-run innings in 67 balls.

Travis Head smashed 10 fours and 7 big sixes in his innings. Head was playing most of his shots towards long-on and mid-wicket. David Warner missed out on his hundred after a blistering opening stand. Warner perished after scoring 81 runs in 65 with 5 fours and 6 sixes. Both of them added 175 runs for the opening wicket in just 19 overs. Australia posted 118 runs in the first power play. Glenn Phillips has put New Zealand on a road to recovery.
