IPL 2025: Yuvraj Singh leads praises as cricketing fraternity goes crazy after Vaibhav Suryavanshi's 35-ball ton

Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest to score a T20 hundred as well.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the 14-year-old wonderkid, became a record holder in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history during his team Rajasthan Royals’ (RR), match against the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the ongoing IPL 2025 on April 28, 2025.
The match is being played in Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Stadium and saw the home captain, Riyan Parag, winning the toss and once again chasing first.
Sai Sudharsan made 39 and added 93 runs for the first wicket with Shubman Gill for GT. After he got out, Gill and Jos Buttler began hammering the RR bowlers. Gill made 84 with five fours and four sixes and added 74 runs for the second wicket with Buttler.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi becomes the youngest century maker in the IPL
For RR, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal opened the innings, and a storm of runs fell upon GT bowlers. Yashasvi Jaiswal played the silent partner, despite scoring his 50 in 31 balls, as Suryavanshi stole the show at the SMS stadium in Jaipur.
He smacked fifty in just 17 balls and continued to score his maiden IPL century off just 35 balls. He was dismissed soon after for 101 in 38 balls, but he had hit seven fours and 11 huge sixes in his knock. He also added 166 runs with Jaiswal in only 11.5 overs for RR.
During his knock, Suryavanshi became the Indian to score the fastest IPL ton (in 35 balls), going past Yusuf Pathan’s record of 37 balls. At 14 years and 32 days, Suryavanshi is also the youngest centurion in IPL history, having surpassed Manish Pandey (19 years and 253 days).
Additionally, Vaibhav Suryavanshi set a huge world record. At 14 years and 32 days, he is currently the youngest player to ever score a century in T20 cricket.
The netizens watched his knock and praised him wholeheartedly on social media as well. They went crazy seeing a 14-year-old smacking 90-meter sixes at will.
