During India’s practice session at HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala, Ishan Kishan was seen holding the back of his head. Everyone was worried for a while as they couldn’t figure out what hit Kishan’s head. Later on, it was revealed that Kishan was stung by a honey bee. Indian team support staff spent some time with Kishan and then rubbed the bee bite with an iron as a homegrown remedy. Team India will be going through an extensive session in Dharamsala before the big game against New Zealand.

Ishan Kishan could be in India’s playing XI in case team India look to increase their strength in the batting in Dharamsala. Hardik Pandya’s absence has caused severe headaches to Indian team management and once again sent them back to the discussion room. Ishan Kishan played the first two games for India in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Kishan was used as an opener in Shubman Gill’s absence. Shubman Gill missed the first two games, he came to the practice session much later in Dharamsala.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya will be heading to National Cricket Academy in Bangalore for his recovery. Pandya twisted his ankle while attempting to stop a straight drive from Litton Das against Bangladesh in Pune. Pandya’s absence has caused a severe imbalance in the India playing XI. Dharamsala will be a pacer-friendly wicket and in an afternoon game, dew will play a crucial role at this venue. New Zealand have also had a scare, but Tim Southee is now fit and ready for the selection in the Playing XI.
