Vaibhav Suryavanshi scripts history in Vijay Hazare Trophy; Bihar achieve THIS unbreakable record

Bihar’s batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed a 190-run knock against Arunachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26.
India’s young sensation, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, has scripted a magnificent record in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, becoming the youngest batter to score a century in List A Cricket. Playing for Bihar, the 14-year-old hammered a century against Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday, December 24.
The left-handed batter opened the batting after Bihar opted to bat first in the clash, which got underway at JSCA Oval Ground in Ranchi. He reached the three-figure mark off just 36 balls, eventually scoring 190 runs off 84 deliveries.
During his innings, he hammered 16 boundaries and 15 sixes, striking the opposition bowlers all over the park at a strike rate of 226. With his amazing century, he drove Bihar’s scoreboard to 574/6 in the first innings.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi becomes the youngest batter to score a century in List A cricket

Aged 14 years and 272 days, Suryavanshi has become the youngest batter to score a ton in List A Cricket. Moreover, he also registered the second-fastest century by an Indian batter off 36 deliveries in List A cricket, after Punjab’s Anmolpreet Singh (35).
However, his record was further broken by Bihar captain Sakibul Gani, as he hit a century off just 32 deliveries to register the fastest century by an Indian in List A cricket.
Bihar posted the highest team total in List A Cricket
Notably, it was a remarkable day for the Bihar team, as they set a record for the highest-ever team total in List A Cricket, as well as in the history of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. With centuries by Vaibhav (190), Ayush Loharuka (116), Sakibul Gani (128*), and a half-century by Piyush Singh (77), Bihar piled up 574/6 in the clash.
With the mammoth total, Bihar has broken Tamil Nadu’s previous record (506/2), which they posted in a match against Arunachal Pradesh in November 2022 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022-23 edition.
