The second legs of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 are showing soon next and every one of the best teams will be vying for spots in the quarter-finals. Nevertheless, not everyone will be guaranteed a spot; regrettably, some pairs to advance to the round of 16 were made, which only means a select few will be eliminated at this point.
After a round of first-leg matchups that arrived loaded with goals, with all but one of the games having at least two goals scored, a number of high-profile contests are expected.

6. Juventus: 12
Italian powerhouse Juventus are another top performer in the round of 16, having qualified for the quarterfinals 12 times in their annals thanks to recent performances. They failed to advance past the group stage this season, and they are aiming for a 13th appearance next season. Given the loss of points that caused them to start the season in 10th place, Juventus will be unlikely to enter the top four this year.
5. Chelsea: 12
Chelsea, the winners for 2020–21, has made the sixth most appearances in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, with 12. Chelsea defeated Dortmund 2-0 at home to advance to the quarterfinals, and Graham Potter has managed to win games despite his team’s dismal performance this year.

4. Manchester United: 14
The Red Devils have recently lost some of their luster in the Champions League, but they still shine as one of the high competitors in terms of quarterfinal participation. They have advanced 14 times through that stage of the competition. After failing to qualify for the tournament this season, they are now in the running for a 15th appearance the following year.
3. Barcelona: 18
With a disappointing performance in the group stage, Spanish powerhouse Barcelona is no longer in the running for the Champions League championship. They distinguish out as being among the best clubs in the round of 16, though. They have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Champions League 18 times. The Spanish powerhouse in recent years have had a horrid time in the UCL, be it disappointing exits or exits from the group stage itself.

2. Real Madrid: 18
Real Madrid is another Spanish team that has completely dominated this competition’s quarterfinal stage. The team has also had the most victories in the Champions League’s history. The quarterfinals have been reached by Real Madrid on 18 separate occasions. In the second leg of their round of 16 matches, they will host Liverpool after handling a humiliating 5-2 loss at Anfield. The club have won the Champions League a record 14 times.
1. Bayern Munich: 21
Bayern Munich defeated PSG to advance to the quarterfinals, making them the side with the most trips in the quarterfinals overall in the Champions League. At this point, the German giants have 21 years. As the German team looks to capture its eighth Champions League championship this year, the following draws will determine Bayern’s opponents in the quarterfinal. The Bundesliga giants have won the Champions League six times in their glorious history.
