The winger has been a standout performer for NorthEast United in the past two seasons.

NorthEast United's star winger Imran Khan is all set to sign for fellow ISL side Jamshedpur FC, Khel Now can confirm. A source close to the development informed Khel Now, "Imran Khan is all set to sign a multi-year deal at Jamshedpur FC."

Imran Khan, in the past two years, has been a standout performer for NorthEast United. He has come to the club's rescue whenever the manager has called upon him. He was chased by a few clubs last year too, but this time the left-winger chose to move in a different direction. His contract was about to end this summer and he decided not to pen an extension to the same.

Imran Khan's career

From NEROCA FC to NorthEast United Imran Khan's career has been a one to keep an eye on. The winger has played for reputed clubs like FC Goa, Mohun Bagan and Gokulam Kerala too. In fact, he was one of the players of Mohun Bagan's I-League winning squad, but after his loan deal ended with the Mariners, he went back to FC Goa in January, 2020.

In his entire career, the left winger has played 81 matches till date. He has scored four goals and provided seven assists. In the recently concluded ISL 2022-23 season, Khan featured in 14 games for NorthEast United and scored just one goal, apart from providing an assist.

Jamshedpur FC's season and preparations

Jamshedpur FC had a season which they'll want to erase from their history books. They ended their ISL 2022-23 campaign on the 10th position. However, the Men of Steel fared pretty well in the Hero Super Cup, reaching the semi-finals, only to lose out to Bengaluru FC.

Even in the AFC Champions League Playoff against Mumbai City, Jamshedpur FC registered a close fight.

The Men of Steel are preparing well for the upcoming season. They are in advanced talks to sign English manager Scott Cooper, as revealed by Khel Now earlier. The addition of Khan to the contingent will only add more ammunition to Cooper's arsenal.
