Esmir Bajraktarevic relocated from Wisconsin to Foxborough in August 2021 to join the Revolution Academy. On November 18, 2021, he signed a professional deal with the New England Revolution II. On May 23, 2022, he signed a homegrown deal with the first team. As a result, he became the Revolution’s ninth homegrown player to sign for the first team and the first from the club’s residency programme.

On August 17, 2022, Esmir made his MLS debut as a second-half replacement in a 2-2 draw against Toronto FC. Three days later, on August 20, 2022, he made his debut in the Revolution’s 4-0 loss against CF Montréal.
