The Daily Mail has revealed the list of fastest players in the Premier League’s 2023–24 opening match week. The English first division resumed after the summer break.

The Premier League is one of the fastest-paced leagues in the world. Kyle Walker was the fastest player in the league in 2022–23.

This season, someone else has been the most-paced player in the opening weekend. Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United has been recorded as the fastest player in game one.

Newcastle United faced Aston Villa and scored five goals through their defence. Gordon started the game on the left side for Eddie Howe’s men. The Englishman spent 68 minutes on the field and was involved in the first goal of the match. The Magpies signed him last season from Everton.

Burnley’s Ameen Al-Dakhil follows him on the list. He joined the Clarets in January 2023 and made his league debut against Manchester City.

Pedro Neto proved to be the third-fastest. Wolves faced Manchester United at Old Trafford and suffered a 1-0 defeat. They were hitting the Red Devils on the counters, and Neto created a few chances for his team.

Anthony Elanga has joined Nottingham Forest from Manchester United. He came in as a substitute against Arsenal to make his debut for Forest. Elanga provided an assist by displaying his speed and strength on the ball.

Kyle Walker, who was the fastest player last season, recorded a speed of 34.64 km/hr and was the fifth-fastest player in the opening weekend. Two players from the same game make it to the list.

Walker is the oldest player on this list. He is still matching the pace of these young players. The right-back was being chased by Bayern Munich, but he has decided to sign a new contract with the treble winners.
