Zinedine Zidane has already ruled himself out of Manchester United job

Zinedine Zidane’s last managed club was Real Madrid
Zinedine Zidane had previously deemed himself ineligible to take the Manchester United position, but this was well before Erik ten Hag was under increasing pressure.
Under Ten Hag, Manchester United have had a terrible season. They have lost five of their first ten Premier League games, and both of their initial Champions League matches and Wednesday evening’s Carabao Cup loss against Newcastle.
“Do I want to go to Manchester? I understand English, but I don’t master it completely. I know that there are coaches who go to clubs without speaking the language, but I work in a different way,” he told Marca last year.
“Many elements come into play to win, it is a global context. I know what I need to win. When I was a player I could choose and go to almost all the clubs. As a coach, there are not fifty clubs I can go to.

As a result, club executives have compiled a shortlist of possible Zidane replacements, with the Dutchman being among the top candidates. The Frenchman had a tremendously successful stint at La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid, yet he is now unemployed.
Despite winning two LaLiga titles and three Champions Leagues with Los Blancos, he has not returned to management since departing the Bernabeu in 2021. That being said, it doesn’t seem realistic that he would accept the opportunity to lead United.
Even with all of the vultures hovering around Old Trafford, Ten Hag is certain that he is the best person to guide United. And in spite of their dismal run, the Dutchman maintained he can turn things around after the loss to Newcastle.
