Ratings: Sivasakthi's late goal fetches Bengaluru FC a point

Both goals in this ISL encounter came towards the end of the game.
NorthEast United and Bengaluru FC played out a 1-1 draw, as the Highlanders squandered their hard fought lead right at the death. Both sides did put in their best throughout the game, and it was overall a very sluggish and stale tie.
However, things intensified towards the end, as NorthEast won a penalty and took the lead, which was met by a late equaliser at the Kanteerava by the home team.

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu – 7.5
The custodian made four saves and stood strong under the sticks. Gurpreet registered a clearance to his name as well.
Naorem Roshan Singh – 6
Roshan conceded the penalty at the end and the same was converted by Nestor Albiach. The youngster made five clearances and four tackles in the game.
Aleksandar Jovanovic – N/A
Jovanovic was substituted after 10 minutes owing to an unfortunate injury.
Keziah Veendorp – 7.5
Keziah was strong at the back with three clearances, two interceptions and a block on the night. He won four duels and created a scoring chance as well.
Jessel Carneiro – 7
Jessel assisted the equaliser and played eight successful direct balls. He made a block and two clearances to fulfil his defensive duties.
Suresh Singh – 6.5
Suresh completed 31 passes in the game with 91% accuracy. Effective distribution would be something to look at for the youngster. He attempted a shot as well.
Harsh Patre – 6
The midfielder was exposed at times, and took time to settle in. He won two aerial duels and made an interception.
Javi Hernandez – 8
The midfield maestro created five chances in the game. He attempted two shots and completed three dribbles as well.
Halicharan Narzary – 6.5
The winger played one key pass, attempted two crosses and completed a dribble. Defensively, he registered three interceptions.
Ryan Williams – 7.5
Ryan delivered a complete forward’s performance in the match. He registered two shots on target, created three chances and won a foul.
Sunil Chhetri – 6.5
Sunil supported Williams up front and tried to create space for him. The captain registered two shots and won four duels.
Substitutes
Shankar Sampingiraj – 7.5
Shankar replaced injured Jovanovic and filled the void with confidence thereafter. The defender made five clearances and registered one block and two tackles to his name.
Rohit Danu – 6.5
Danu came on for the last few minutes and was impactful. He made a block and won a foul for his side.
Sivasakthi Narayanan – 7.5
Siva scored the most important equaliser in the game through a cross from Jessel.

Mirshad Michu – 6
Did better in comparison to his recent performances. Made a crucial 1v1 save in the second half, and made another significant error that could’ve led to a goal late into the game.
Buanthanglun Samte – 6.5
Did well in his first start for the Highlanders, and kept the left flank under control. His deliveries were also right on the money.
Asheer Akhtar – 6.5
Dealt with a number of long balls, and gave his 100% to secure a clean-sheet for his side but unfortunately, Bengaluru FC managed to grab the equaliser.
Michel Zabaco – 6.5
Looked sloppy on a few occasions, but was overall solid in the back. He helped in restricting the attacking danger of Bengaluru FC.
Dinesh Singh – 6
Wasn’t very involved in the attacking play, but was effective in the defensive end. Dinesh was once again disappointing with his passing and quick thinking.
Mohammed Ali Bemammer – 8
Was assigned with the role of containing Javi, and executed it to perfection. Dominated the spaces in midfield, and made some crucial interceptions.
Macarton Louis – 6.5
Was impressive yet again with his midfield work and expert passing.
Phalguni Singh – 6.5
Wasn’t very effective with his play, and missed some great passing opportunities that would have opened up the play.
Nestor Albiach – 7
Looked dull throughout the tie, but turned up when it mattered the most, as he scored the late penalty that gave his side the lead.
Romain Philippoteaux – 5.5
Looked sluggish and missed the creative arc in his play tonight.
Jithin MS – 6.5
Great with a few good plays at times, but wasn’t very sharp in the final third.
Substitutes
Huidrom Thoi Singh – 7
Made an unbelievable tackle that prevented a certain goal-scoring opportunity. Dribbled his way through the Bengaluru FC defence, and played the cross that led to NorthEast United winning the penalty.
Parthib Gogoi – 6.5
Looked lively after coming on, and won the penalty that led to his side’s goal.
Gani Nigam – 6.5
Helped the defence and switched plays brilliantly when needed to.
Becky Oram – 6
Was solid in the back, and provided the much needed support towards the final minutes.
