Ratings: Roy Krishna leads the line as Odisha FC conquer Punjab

Every time Roy Krishna scores, Odisha FC secure a win!
Odisha FC have sustained their positive momentum in the Indian Super League by securing a 1-0 victory over Punjab FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. This triumph has propelled Odisha to the third position in the points table, having garnered 21 points from 11 matches.
Although Punjab FC created some chances in the match, it was once again Odisha FC’s Fijian star Roy Krishna who found the back of the net and scored the only goal of the match in the 21st minute to hand the Juggernauts yet another win.

The Punjab FC goalie made a save from an attempt inside the box. However, his defence fell short of Roy Krishna’s precision.
Khaiminthang Lhungdim – 7
The defender was strong with his defenses as he made one clearance, one interception, and completed four tackles in the game.
Dimitrios Chatziisais– 6.5
The Greek defender made a clearance during the game and was impactful during the aerial duels.
Suresh Meitei – 7
The Indian centre-back was firm in the backline. He made four clearances and completed one dribble.
Mohammed Salah – 6
The left-back wasn’t very impressive both with the ground duels and the aerial duels. However, he made two clearances and delivered two accurate crosses.
Samuel Kynshi Lyngdoh – 6.5
The Indian winger was seen on the left flank for the home side. He got one shot on target and completed one dribbling attempt.
Nikhil Prabhu – 6.5
The midfielder’s performance was satisfactory from a defensive point of view. He made one clearance and completed three tackles and two interceptions.
Juan Mera – 5.5
The Spaniard seemed out of rhythm tonight as he lost possession 12 times during the game.
Amarjit Singh – 5.5
The Indian midfielder too, seemed out of touch and was losing possession often.
Madih Talal – 7
Madih delivered three accurate crosses and made two attempts but they went in vain.
Luka Majcen – 5.5
The captain was shown a yellow card by the match referee after a failed tackle. Minimal impact up front from the Slovenian.

Ashis came on as a substitute in the 67th minute and completed seven accurate passes during the game.
Wilmar Jordan – 5.5
The Colombian wasn’t able to make his mark in the game.
Brandon Vanlalremdika – 5.5
The Indian midfielder took the field in the 68th minute but couldn’t do much and a failed tackle by him resulted in a foul.

There was limited threat aimed towards Amrinder Singh, and he effectively managed it with proper anticipation.
Amey Ranawade – 7
Ranawade appeared notably more impactful during the latter part of the match, successfully thwarting several formidable offensive moves from the opposing side.
Narender Gahlot – 6.5
Gahlot performed commendably in the defensive line, delivering strategic clearances to maintain the security at the back.
Carlos Delgado – 7
Just like every other game, he maintained composed nerves whenever facing a threat from the opposing team.
Jerry Lalrinzuala – 6.5
Jerry displayed a high level of motivation on the field; however, he occasionally relinquished possession due to minor errors.
Lenny Rodrigues – 6.5
Lenny effectively managed the right flank during the match, delivering several notable crosses that unfortunately did not result in goals.
Ahmed Jahouh – 7
Jahouh exhibited exceptional passing ability throughout and strategically executed the long balls to create previously unseen scoring opportunities.
Princeton Rebello – 6
Rebello displayed promise during his stay but sustained an injury, which led to his substitution in the second half.
Roy Krishna – 7.5
Krishna was again amongst the goal scorers for Odisha FC. He scored the only goal of the match in the 21st minute of play.
Isak Vanlalruatfela – 7
Isak was instrumental in providing the crucial assist to Krishna, enabling him to score the sole goal of the match. Additionally, he demonstrated adept ball control in the offensive zone, however, he was unable to secure any further conversions.
Diego Mauricio – 6.5
Diego had significant opportunities today. He performed well in retrieving the balls but fell short in executing the finishing touches.

Aniket Jadhav – 6
Aniket stepped in to replace the injured Princeton Rebello in the 61st minute. Despite his efforts to maintain the momentum, his impact on the game was limited.
Mourtada Fall – 6
Fall substituted Mauricio in the 77th minute, likely to afford him rest and maintain his readiness for future matches. His limited opportunities during the game hindered his ability to showcase his value.
Jerry Mawihmingthanga – 6
Jerry substituted Narender Gahlot in the 77th minute. Despite his introduction which intended to pose a late threat in the match with renewed energy, his efforts did not yield the desired outcome.
