Arsenal & Chelsea battle for £85m rated forward Viktor Gyokeres

Viktor Gyokeres played for Coventry in the Championship last season
According to reports, Sporting Lisbon attacker Viktor Gyokeres, who has also been linked with a move to Chelsea, is a target for Arsenal.
After signing Sporting from Championship team Coventry City in the summer, the Sweden international has shown to be one of the smartest additions of the season thus far, displaying excellent form in attacking the goal.
Si Phillips Talks Chelsea has linked Chelsea to Gyokeres, a striker who might be acquired by the team this January, although Arsenal is also being suggested.
Sport Witness cites claims from Portugal that claim the Gunners have been scouting Gyokeres. Mikel Arteta is a different manager who could certainly benefit from altering his assault.

However, Sporting Manager Ruben Amorim has stated that Gyokeres will only go if a club activates his waiver clause in its entirety, according to the article. This might suggest that the Gunners and the Blues will have to pay a high price for the 25-year-old.
Gyokeres has a release clause worth €100 million, or £85 million, according to this A Bola article.
Gyokeres came to Sporting from Coventry City this summer, and while his move was somewhat of a surprise, he has already shown himself to be an excellent addition to the team, netting 15 goals in 18 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
The explosive Sweden international should be able to help this struggling Chelsea team, as Mauricio Pochettino needs a more experienced center-forward to spearhead his offensive.
