Barcelona show 'key interest' in Joshua Kimmich

Joshua Kimmich has 18 months left on his contract
Joshua Kimmich, a star player for Bayern Munich whose contract expires in 2025 and who has not yet signed a new agreement, is apparently of interest to Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
The Catalans are reportedly going to try again at the end of the season after their failed attempt to sign Kimmich last summer did not sit well with Bayern.
Kimmich will reportedly be a “priority objective” when it pertains to bolstering the team, according to Diario AS. According to the article, Xavi is quite certain that Kimmich, the German international, would be open to making the move since they have already spoken on multiple occasions.
Joshua Kimmich’s agreement with the Bavarian giants runs until 2025, therefore the club will need to make a significant choice about him before he plays out the final 12 months of the agreement in the summer of next year.

According to AS, Barca are reportedly scheduled to hold negotiations with Bundesliga players’ agents and may still go shopping in Germany in the summer even if Kimmich is unable to travel.
To sign a central midfield player in the summer of 2024, Barcelona manager Xavi is determined to revamp his team’s midfield for the upcoming campaign. The club is currently examining multiple profiles, with Kimmich, the captain of Bayern Munich, being the most famous name under consideration.
The German international, 28, is bound to the Bavarian club till 2025. Given their interest in Fulham star Joao Palhinha and 22-year-old French midfielder Manu Kone, Thomas Tuchel may decide to move the seasoned player.
On the final day of the summer transfer window, Bayern was on the verge of signing the Portuguese midfielder from Fulham, but the Premier League powerhouses pulled out of the deal because they were unable to find a replacement. Later, the midfield player agreed to sign a longer contract with the team.
