Chelsea withdrew from Endrick's deal, reveals his father

Endrick has signed for Real Madrid
Douglas, Endrick’s father, disclosed that his son was on the verge of signing with the Blues prior to choosing Real Madrid. He says the Blues withdrew from the agreement after reaching an agreement to sign the 17-year-old for €60 million.
Douglas continued, saying that in 2022, the young Brazilian was toured around Chelsea‘s grounds and training facility and had a meeting with the coach. Fabrizio Romano cited him as saying:
“We received an invitation from Chelsea, from the owner, and we went there to see the club and the country. We saw Chelsea play against Arsenal and we had the opportunity to see the coach, the facilities, Jorginho, César Azpilicueta and Thiago Silva.
“They explained everything to us. We were introduced to the person who would help us settle in. She showed us the house we would live in, the school that Endrick would attend, the church we would attend. Everything was in order for us and Chelsea.

However, everything was twisted at the last moment: I can’t say 100% because I hadn’t signed yet, but the agreement was closed. I had already thought that I would live in London with all that cold weather. But then, at night, my son’s representative called and said that the owner of Chelsea withdrew from the deal because the price they would have to pay for Endrick would inflate the market. It was €60m in total for a 16-year-old boy who would arrive in the country almost two years later.
…then, Real Madrid arrived”.
Following netting in the stalemate against Cruzeiro earlier this month, Endrick assisted Palmeiras in winning the Serie A championship. It was the 17-year-old’s last complete campaign with the Brazilian team, and he will be joining Real Madrid in the summer.
For the year, the youngster has registered 11 goals, most of which have come off the bench. Cruzeiro’s goal likewise came in the last twenty-one minutes of the match that he participated in.
Endrick, the latest Real Madrid acquisition, made his debut for Brazil at the youngest age since Ronaldo Nazario in 1994. He has amassed an incredible 165 goals for the Palmeiras junior team in 169 games.
