Nick Pope to miss 4-5 months of action due to shoulder injury

Nick Pope dislocated his shoulder against Manchester United
Nick Pope will be sidelined for four to five months due to a major shoulder injury, according to The Telegraph.
According to their report, “initial assessments” indicate that he will likely miss a significant amount of time from activity and return later in the season.
Martin Dubravka replaced the injured player for the final five minutes of Saturday night’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United due to a dislocated shoulder sustained by the 31-year-old.
Pope has already suffered a shoulder injury before. He was concerningly absent for five months at Burnley with the same problem, indicating that he might not return until April or May.
No keeper has kept more Premier League clean sheets this season than Dubravka, therefore we will hope that he can fill in for Eddie Howe in his absence and continue where Pope left off. This is a significant blow for Howe.

Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle United, disclosed that he will be without Nick Pope for a few weeks following what appeared to be a dislocation of his shoulder.
The England international appeared to break his left shoulder after landing awkwardly, and he was left sitting on the ground, urgently in need of medical assistance. After a brief period of play, referee Robert Jones had to stop it to tend to the injured custodian.
Speaking to TNT Sport about the injury, Eddie Howe was concerned: “I don’t know if he will need an operation or not, but we will get it checked out and fingers crossed he will be back soon.
“It will be a massive blow for us if he is ruled out for any length of time. It looked innocuous, but that is usually the way and they are normally the more serious ones. You could see he was in distress and it looked like he dislocated his shoulder just diving.”
Martin Dubravka had to step in for Pope since he was hesitant to keep playing and he helped Newcastle United defeat Manchester United 1-0 while keeping a clean sheet.
