Top six youngest players to feature in Campeonato Brasileiro 2023
Brazil is the most prolific producer of high-level talent in history, the country and its sprawling cities have been an unrivalled football hotbed. Brazilian domestic football, especially Campeonato Brasileiro is flush with interesting prospects. Brazilian players are renowned for their unique style of play, which is characterized by flair, creativity, and technical ability.
The Brazilian national team remains one of the most formidable international teams in the world. With an array of young and talented players, the nation could remain in the spotlight for years to come. Over the years, several players have made it from the favelas in Rio de Janeiro to wearing Brazil’s Blue and yellow on the biggest stage.
Here we look at the youngest players to feature in Brazil‘s top-tier football (Campeonato Brasileiro) in 2023:
6. João Dalla Corte (Internacional) – 17 years, 4 months & 22 day
Dalla Corte joined Internacional’s youth categories in 2015, aged nine, from the local side of SE Novo Horizonte. Dalla Corte made his professional and Série A debut on 29 October 2023, coming on as a second-half substitute for Dalbert in a 4–3 home loss to Coritiba, aged 17 years, four months and 22 days, he became the youngest player to debut for Inter since Alexandre Pato in 2006. He also represented Brazil at U-17 international level as well.
5. Pedro (Corinthians) – 17 years, 2 months & 19 days
Pedro joined Corinthians at the age of nine, initially playing for the club’s futsal team. He has great acceleration, agility, flair, body balance, changes of pace, and coordination. A very creative player with very good technical ability, 1vs1 short-dribbling skills, close ball control, and fast direction shifts in possession. An explosive dribbler who likes to use tricks and feints to beat his opponents, very dangerous on the counter thanks to his pace and acceleration.
On 29 June 2023, Russian champions FC Zenit Saint Petersburg announced that the agreement was reached with Corinthians for the transfer of Pedro which will take effect when Pedro turns 18 years old in February 2024. He has represented Brazil at U-16, U-17 and U-20 level.

4. Luis Guilherme (Palmeiras) – 17 years, 2 months & 6 days
Luis Guilherme played in numerous soccer schools in his hometown before joining Palmeiras in 2017. He signed his first professional contract with the club in June 2022. He is a player with a good body mass ratio, physical strength, power, stamina and natural fitness who feels comfortable in contact situations. creative player with very good technical ability, 1vs1 short-dribbling skills, close ball control, fast direction shifts in possession and vision to make through passes to the teammates providing dynamism to the team’s last offensive third plays.
Luis Guilherme made his first team debut on 12 April 2023, coming on as a second-half substitute for José Manuel López in a 4–2 home win over Tombense, for the year’s Copa do Brasil. He represented Brazil at U-16 and U-20 level.
3. Rayan (Vasco) – 16 years, 10 months & 8 days
Rayan Vitor is a graduate of the Vasco da Gama academy, He established a name for himself as a prolific goal-scorer, scoring 280 goals by the age of eleven. e continued this form into Vasco’s under-17 team, scoring 29 goals in 34 games in 2022. A modern all-round forward able to shine in many attacking positions and roles/often playing on the wing as an inside forward, and a powerful and determined forward with killer instinct, great technique on the ball, and cleverness at his off-the-ball movements. He represented Brazil at U-17 level.
2. Endrick (Palmeiras) – 16 years, 8 months & 25 days
His early performances have drawn praise from some of the most prominent figures in Brazilian football. It was December 2022 when Real Madrid completed the deal to bring the youngster to Spain following his 18th birthday in July 2024. A left-footed attacker, Endrick stands out for his confidence at such a young age. He is not simply a goal-poacher who is calm and assured in front of goal, though. He also does an important job for his team in linking play in the final third.
Endrick shows great awareness when he drives forward with the ball. He keeps his head up and checks his surroundings constantly, so he knows where opponents are approaching and where his teammates are. He is strong despite still being so young and uses his body well to hold off challenges. He finished the season with eleven goals, the second-highest scored in a Serie A season by an under-18 player.
1. Estevão (Palmeiras) – 16 years, 7 months & 13 days
Estevão Willian’s football journey began in 2017 when he joined the youth academy of Cruzeiro. In 2018, at the tender age of 10, Estevão made history by signing a professional contract with Nike, becoming their youngest Brazilian player at the time. This early recognition hinted at the promising future that lay ahead. He is considered one of the best football prospects in the world. He is also known as “Messinho”, named after one of the greatest football players of all time, Lionel Messi.
A player with a low centre of gravity, superb agility, body balance, changes of pace, and coordination, very strong in 1v1 situations, unpredictable, and confident of his skills. Displays a natural technique to dribble in tight spaces/under pressure. He has represented Brazil at U-17 and was also part of the U-17 World Cup squad.
