Real Madrid injury update ahead of Mallorca clash

Real Madrid are set to play their first match of the year against Mallorca in the LaLiga. The Los Blancos are sitting at the top of the table.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side is sitting at the top but they have struggled with injury. Most of the first-choice defenders are sitting out and there are a lot of concerns.

Here is Real Madrid injury update ahead of their first match in 2024.

Eder Militao

Militao underwent surgery on the serious knee injury that he suffered in the team’s season opener, and the defender will be unavailable for selection for at least another three months.

Thibaut Courtois

Courtois also underwent an operation on an ACL injury earlier this season, and the club’s number one is currently stepping up his rehabilitation ahead of a potential return before the end of the campaign.

David Alaba

Alaba also suffered an ACL injury against Villarreal on December 17, and the Austria international will miss the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign.

Arda Guler

Guler, who is yet to make his Real Madrid debut, recently suffered a fresh fitness setback, but the attacker is back in full training with the club and has a chance of being involved in this match.

Eduardo Camavinga

Camavinga has been absent due to a knee injury which he picked up during a training session with France during the November international break, but he is now back in training and has a slight chance of being involved in this match.

Vinicius Junior

Vinicius has been sidelined due to a thigh injury that he suffered while representing Brazil during the November international break, but he is also back in training, and a return in this match is a possibility.

Dani Carvajal

Real Madrid were unable to recover Carvajal from a calf issue against Alaves before the winter break, but he is expected to be back in the squad for this contest.

Ferland Mendy

Real Madrid are sweating over the fitness of Mendy, with the defender missing out against Alaves before the winter break due to a muscular problem.
