Timo Werner agrees to join Tottenham Hotpur on loan till end of season

Timo Werner has previously played for Chelsea
Tottenham Hotspur are about to pull off a massive surprise acquisition by signing Timo Werner on a loan, a forward who previously played for Chelsea.
Werner, who already experienced a terrible period in England with Chelsea, is free to depart RB Leipzig once more in January and has been connected to Manchester United. But it appears like Tottenham will prevail in the race for Werner instead.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany claims that Spurs are currently “on the verge” of bringing in Werner on a six-month loan from the German team. It is said that talks are nearing their conclusion and that if the specifics are worked out, the agreement should be completed.
In 2020, Werner was initially brought to Chelsea by the club for £47.5 million. But the German lost all his drive and trust, and he was sent back out.
Though Werner’s goals haven’t exactly flowed since. Leipzig is more than willing to allow Werner go given he has only two goals in 14 games this season. The gamble taken by Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou is undoubtedly well-informed.

Like Brennan Johnson, it’s obvious that he views Werner as a quick player who can assist his side play on the counter and go behind.
Even though Werner is joining Spurs on loan, his goal total and his dismal performance in the Premier League the previous season make this a risky signing for the team.
But Werner could think he has something to prove. And that might out to be a brilliant move if Ange can fire him in such a scenario.
Werner still has a lot to prove, therefore Tottenham supporters won’t be convinced that this is a move that will improve things.
