Everton in danger of losing two additional points in Premier League

Everton have already lost 10 points this season
Because Everton violated the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations, they may lose two more points.
According to The Athletic, Everton and Nottingham Forest anticipate that their violations of the league’s profitability and environmental regulations will be brought to an independent commission. They will also probably be informed of any formal punishment taken on Monday.
Nottingham Forest could additionally lose points, while Everton, who was punished 10 earlier in the season, might now face an additional point loss or a fine.
A club may lose up to £105 million ($134 million), or £35 million ($44 million), in three years. It is anticipated that both Everton and Forest will resist any penalties.
According to the source, Everton has already filed an appeal against their original point deduction, and they want to use the building of their new Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium as a primary justification for the excessive spending.

In contrast, Forest lost £61 million over three seasons—a smaller amount than the £105 million figure—but this can be attributed to their Football League membership before their elevation. Their £35 million loss from the previous season seems to be the deciding factor, as it did over the Premier League’s cap.
Neither team can afford to lose any ground. With 17 points, Everton is presently ranked 17th in the Premier League standings.
They are only one point ahead of Luton, who occupy 18th place, and a further 10-point loss would send them to 20th place, behind Sheffield United, who are in 9th place.
In contrast, Forest, with 20 points, is ranked 15th. They lead Luton by four points. The two clubs are awaiting the Premier League’s official decision.
Then, both are probably going to mount strong legal defences against any sort of action, especially if they are penalised points.
