Inter Milan are also interested in signing Tiago Djalo

Juventus have arranged for Tiago Djalo and themselves to have further discussions to come to a personal terms agreement.

Djalo is now willing to talk with Juventus, who would be willing to pay about €3 million to sign him straight out of Lille. Djalò is still desired by Inter, but only as a free agent in June.

Updates on Friday morning indicate that Juve is prepared to pay a cost of €3 million plus incentives for the 23-year-old, who hasn’t played in a competitive capacity since March due to a cruciate ligament surgery sustained after the previous season.

In light of his inactivity, Serie A teams have been quite interested in Djalo in recent months, and Inter has additionally been considering a move.

The Nerazzurri intended to bring Djalo to San Siro on a free transfer when his professional agreement expired in the summer.

According to recent rumours, Djalo was also happy to join Inter. However, he does want to get back to playing regularly in the first team as soon as possible, which might not happen if he continues with Lille past January.

They are aware that to persuade Lille, they would need to provide bonuses and compensation totalling roughly €2 million, and negotiations between the two teams have resulted in a broad understanding. Now, Lille does not want to lose the player on a free transfer, so the only question left is whether Juve will pay that sum.

Juventus are hoping that its strong ties with Lille will persuade Djalo to join the Bianconeri rather than hold out for Inter until the summer.

Summer departures for Alex Sandro and Dean Huijsen are getting close to joining Roma. It is anticipated that Lille will not see Djalo regularly for the next five months, which may persuade him to sign with Juventus.
