Manchester City are the holders of the FA Cup

The FA Cup 2023-24 round 3 fixtures are out and teams are ready to play for the prestigious trophy. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City went on to lift the title in the 2022-23 season.

64 club will play in the knockout stages. The winner gets a berth in the next round and all the drawn matches are replayed at the away team’s home stadium.

Arsenal host Liverpool in the pick of the bunch as the Premier League title rivals aim to gain a psychological advantage over the other with a cup triumph.

Arguably the most intriguing match of the round will see Sunderland host Newcastle in the Wear-Tyne derby at the Stadium of Light.

The modern-day football landscape can feel like alien territory as internal power games and money, money, money flood through the game, but the FA Cup remains a haven for fairytales to be written.

Non-league clubs have qualified for the third round proper and will be joined by a host of Premier League juggernauts for the full FA Cup experience.

The tournament starts with Extra Preliminary, Preliminary, First Qualifying, Second Qualifying, Third Qualifying and Fourth Qualifying Round have been completed.

Arsenal lead the FA Cup tally with 14 crowns followed by Manchester United, who have won it 12 times.
