Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus remains injury doubt for FA Cup clash against Liverpool
Gabriel Jesus has been injury-prone since joining Arsenal
Concerns have been raised over Gabriel Jesus’s fitness for Arsenal’s FA Cup third-round match against Liverpool today. The international player for Brazil has a knee ailment.
Although it’s unknown how serious the problem is, there is hope that it won’t last. Jesus is doubtful for today’s crucial match at Emirates Stadium as a result of the development.
Jesus’ absence would be devastating for Mikel Arteta’s team, who are looking to turn things around after two straight losses.
In the unlikely event that Arsenal is forced to play another match against Jurgen Klopp’s team, Jesus will be given time to heal before the Gunners’ next game on January 20 against Crystal Palace.
The former Manchester City player has experienced knee issues in the past. Due to a knee issue, he missed the first few weeks of the campaign. The previous season, he lost three months due to a joint operation.
During October and November, the South American player was also sidelined for nearly a month due to a hamstring ailment.

In other places, Oleksandr Zinchenko’s fitness also remains in question due to a calf injury.Zinchenko’s injury prevented him from playing in Fulham’s match last weekend.
Arsenal has had a difficult season due to injuries. They are now without Thomas Partey, Jurrien Timber, and Fabio Vieira in addition to Jesus and Zinchenko.
Except this season, Gabriel Jesus has missed ten matches annually during every English campaign due to injury. This is true even though City offers it as a rotating option.
He missed 17 games in his first season at Arsenal and 11 so far this one. There is a downward trajectory. The most crucial skill is availability.
Important to remember is that Osimhen misses more games than Gabriel Jesus does, even though he’s probably the best #9 available. It might be a major deterrent for clubs looking to recruit the Nigerian in the summer.
