FA Cup 2023-24: Quarter-final draw revealed; Manchester United host Liverpool

Manchester United will face Liverpool in the FA Cup
Following their respective victories in the fifth round on Wednesday, Manchester United and Liverpool will play one another in the FA Cup quarterfinals.
A heavyweight showdown at Old Trafford could be on the cards following Wednesday’s FA Cup matches and the outcome of the draw for the final eight. Following Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Southampton at Anfield and Casemiro’s late winner against Nottingham Forest, that matchup became official.
In other matches, Chelsea welcomes Championship leaders Leicester after defeating Leeds United on Wednesday, and incumbents Manchester City will play Newcastle in a difficult draw for Eddie Howe’s team.

In a Midlands derby at Molineux, Coventry—the bottom-seeded team remaining in the competition—will hope to shock the pack when they take on Wolves, who defeated Brighton 1-0 in the round of 16.
Liverpool’s Merseyside derby match against Everton on the road has also been postponed.Even though Manchester United still have two games left before their match against Liverpool, the Reds’ European run has them playing both legs of their Europa League round-of-16 match against Sparta Prague in addition to Nottingham Forest and Manchester City in the Premier League.
Sheffield United and Manchester United were slated to play on Saturday, March 16 at Old Trafford; but, due to their current state of play, the match will instead take place after the international break.On March 16th, there will be quarterfinal matches over the weekend.
