This match is the final dress rehearsal for Miami before MLS kicks-off

MLS Season is just around the corner, and Gerardo Martino’s Inter Miami have a final friendly to start preparing for the upcoming season opener against Salt Lake City. Inter Miami started their preseason tour with a goalless draw against El Salvador but will be hoping to end with a confident win.

After losing to Al Hilal in the first match and to Al Nassr in the final, they lost the Riyadh Season Cup. They have bounced back in the last two matches, winning against Hong Kong Team and drawing against Vissel Kobe.

Inter Miami predicted lineup (Formation: 4-3-3)

Goalkeeper: Drake Callender

Over the past few seasons, the USA international has been Inter Miami’s number one keeper between the sticks. After losing against Saudi sides, he bounced back to help his team maintain a clean sheet against Japanese outfit Vissel Kobe in the last friendly. He has made several match-winning saves that helped Inter Miami win the matches in recent seasons.

Left-back: Jordi Alba

Having joined Inter Miami on a free transfer from Barcelona, Jordi Alba has made the left back position his own with some eye-catching displays that have earned Inter Miami important wins. Although he played in all the friendlies, he has yet to showcase his real ability.

Centre-back: Noah Allen

With his ability to make important tackles and read the game, the 19-year-old has been impressing Gerardo Martino in the defensive position. As a result of his 85.9% passing accuracy, he is also comfortable with the ball in his feet. He brings a hunger to perform the best for the team at a young age.

Centre-back: Tomás Agustín Avilés

At the back, the Argentine international has formed a solid partnership with fellow 19-year-old Noah Allen to provide Inter Miami with defensive stability. His ability to deliver accurate long balls from the back helps his team move forward in the attacking area. At only 20 years old, he has already established himself in the team and played in all friendly matches so far.

Right-back: DeAndre Yedlin

The former Galatasaray player goes into the team with a wealth of experience, providing width along the right hand side, and supporting the team in attacks. The 30-year-old sets an excellent example for the rest of the team as a professional.

Central midfield: Gregore Magalhaes Silva

A defensive solidity is what the Brazilian international brings to the team, and he started the team’s last three friendly matches, helping the team win against Hong Kong Team and draw 0-0 in last game. He will, however, be disappointed that the team lost to Al Nassr because they struggled against them.

Central defensive midfield: Sergio Busquets

Former Barcelona Legend, who is among the best midfielders in the world, makes the team tick with his ability to dictate game pace. He also helps the team in defense shielding the back four. Busquets is the heart and soul of team and his performance decides the attacking move for Miami.

Central midfield: David Ruiz

For Inter Miami, David Ruiz has been in impressive form in the preseason, scoring a world-class goal against Al Hilal in the Riyadh Season Cup. With MLS just around the corner, he will need to impress the manager in this match to cement his place in the team.

Right-winger: Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi has been a crucial member of Inter Miami’s success since he joined the club. He is a record 8th time Ballon d’Or winner. In his first appearance for the club, he scored 11 goals, and he will be eager to face his old team where he once said that he wanted to end his career there.

Centre-forward: Luis Suarez

Although he hasn’t scored as often for Inter Miami, the Uruguayan striker has made a few appearances in friendly matches. In the Riyadh Seasons Cup, he scored the only goal for Inter Miami against Al Hilal in an exciting match. In the last friendly against Newell’s Old Boys, he will look forward to making a mark on the team before the MLS season begins.

Left-winger: Julian Gressel

This pre-season tour has seen Julian Gressel play a variety of positions, with the versatile player playing the right-wing position in the last two matches. With four goals and six assists in the MLS last season, the attacker hopes to impress Martino in this match to get into the starting eleven.
