The 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) season has come to a close, and if there’s one thing fans will remember, it’s the attacking brilliance on display. Several teams found success thanks to their sharp, hard-working front threes who delivered goals, assists, and unforgettable moments.

From smart link-up play to individual magic, these forwards played a big role in shaping the season for their respective clubs. Here’s a look at the top five attacking trios that stood out and made a real impact in the 2024-25 ISL campaign.

Kerala Blasters

Before the start of the 2024-25 season, Kerala Blasters were expected to be in the midst of the playoffs. However, the Blasters’ defence disappointed and they failed to finish in the top six courtesy of quite a few errors at the back.

KBFC’s attack, though, was potent throughout the season. New signings Jesus Jimenez and Noah Sadaoui combined well with Kwame Peprah, with the trio scoring a total of 24 goals and providing 6 assists to teammates in their ISL campaign.

Individual Stats:

  • Jesus Jimenez – 11 goals and 1 assist
  • Kwame Peprah – 6 goals
  • Noah Sadaoui – 7 goals and 5 assists

FC Goa

After having a jittery start, Manolo Marquez’s side finished second in the ISL standings. Attack-wise, the Gaurs had started the season positively and once their defence became seal-tight, FC Goa went on an 18-game run where they lost just one match.

FC Goa’s attacking trio of Armando Sadiku, Brison Fernandes, and Iker Guarrotxena chipped in with a total of 24 goals and 7 assists in the ISL. While the Gaurs missed out on the ISL title, they did go on to win the Kalinga Super Cup, finishing their season with silverware.

Individual Stats

  • Armando Sadiku – 10 goals and 2 assists
  • Brison Fernandes – 7 goals and 2 assists
  • Iker Guarrotxena – 7 goals and 3 assists

Mohun Bagan

The ISL Shield and Cup champions enjoyed a record-breaking 2024-25 season. Mohun Bagan scored 47 goals in the league stage and 5 goals in the playoffs. Defensively, the Mariners kept 16 clean sheets as they became only the second team to complete the double.

Mohun Bagan’s attacking trio of Jamie Maclaren, Jason Cummings, and Manvir Singh together scored a total of 24 goals and 12 assists in their championship-winning campaign. Left-back Subhashish Bose was also the highest-scoring defender in the league with six goals this season.

Individual Stats:

  • Jamie Maclaren – 12 goals and 2 assists
  • Jason Cummings – 7 goals and 6 assists
  • Manvir Singh – 5 goals and 4 assists

Bengaluru FC

The Blues reached their fourth ISL Final, once again seeing their journey end in heartbreak. However, their run-up to the final was worth remembering as Gerrard Zaragoza’s side was in contention to win silverware until the end.

Bengaluru FC’s attack in particular impressed as the trio of Sunil Chhetri, Edgar Mendez, and Ryan Williams scored a combined total of 30 goals and recorded 10 assists as well. Alberto Noguera, with 5 goals and 4 assists, was instrumental in the Blues’ campaign as well.

Individual Stats:

  • Edgar Mendez – 9 goals and 4 assists
  • Ryan Williams – 7 goals and 4 assists

Alaeddine Ajaraie, Nestor Albiach, and Guillermo Fernandez combined well, getting NorthEast United a sizable 34 goals and 8 assists as a whole. Ajaraie’s contribution in particular was historic as he ended up winning both the ISL Golden Boot and the ISL Golden Ball.
