ISL 2025-26: Updated points table, most goals and most assists after East Bengal vs NorthEast United FC

East Bengal sit at the top of the ISL 2025-26 table.

East Bengal FC started off their Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26 campaign with a bang following a well-worked 3-0 win over NorthEast United at the Salt Lake Stadium.

The Red and Golds were the much better side from the get-go and kept on piling up pressure on the visitors with multiple attacking moves, but failed to open the scoring as the first half remained goalless. East Bengal came out all guns blazing in the second half and destroyed Juan Pedro Benali’s side.

New signing Youssef Ezzejjari announced his arrival in India with an opening goal in the 65th minute and put his side in the lead. Ezzejjari executed Bipin’s cross to perfection and headed it in for the opening goal before scoring the second goal six minutes later.

The Highlanders did not look very aggressive but had a few chances here and there before Miguel Figueira wrapped up the game for the home side with a third goal in stoppage time.
