Kerala Blasters hope to achieve their maiden silverware with some strong additions to their squad in ISL 2024-25.

Kerala Blasters had one of their lowest-yielding seasons last time out in the Indian Super League(ISL) 2023-24. Under Ivan Vukomanovic, the side played some exciting football that allured fans and consistently made it to the knockout phases, three seasons in a row.

However, it was the same old Sisyphus curse for the Blasters, as they failed to acquire any silverware yet again. Mikael Stahre has now been appointed at the helm, and the Swedish coach is already off to a thumping start in the Durand Cup with a draw and two astonishing victories (7-0 against CISF Protectors and 8-0 against Mumbai City FC).

That, and of course, their newest signing Noah Sadaoui has been the silver lining for his side with two hattricks in the tournament. Now let us have a look at all transfers completed by Kerala Blasters FC so far in the 2024-2025 summer window:

Incomings

Noah Sadaoui

Despite losing some high-profile attackers like Diamantakos, the Tuskers have ensured a steady return of goals by roping in Moroccan winger Noah Sadaoui.

The forward boasts plenty of experience in the league playing for FC Goa and will provide exquisite dribbling and goals of all sorts. Sadaoui’s versatility and habit of drifting in centrally to directly threaten the opposition also means he is a like-for-like replacement for their former Argentine attacker.

Alexandre Coeff

Kerala’s newest centre-half boasts a rich tenure of playing for top-tier European clubs. While he played for Granada CF and RCD Mallorca in Spain, Coeff has contested against the likes of Mbappe while playing for AJ Auxerre in the Ligue 1.

Som Kumar

Touted as one of the best young goalkeepers in the country, the rising star recently completed a stint for NK Olimpija Ljubljana’s U-19 side featuring 13 times for them in the Next Gen Liga. Kumar has been a prudent acquisition and the shot-stopper already managed two clean sheets while playing for the Tuskers in all three games in Durand Cup 2024.

Huidrom Naocha Singh

The former I-League winner with Punjab FC was recruited because of his impressive attacking tenacity. Huidrom Naocha Singh has already proven his worth with a goal against CISF Protectors in the Tuskers’ 7-0 rout of the side in the Durand Cup.

Lalthanmawia

Aizawl’s talented winger Lalthanmawia was brought on board by Mikael Stahre because of the promise he has shown with the former I-League champions. At only 22 years old, the Mizoram forward has already racked up 42 appearances across the I-League, Super Cup and Super Cup qualifiers.

Nora Fernandes

Nora Fernandes kept four clean sheets for a sub-par Aizawl FC in the I-League last season, earning a move to Kerala Blasters ahead of ISL 2024-25.

Likmabam Rakesh

The Bengaluru FC graduate’s versatility in playing on the wing and as a fullback is sure to be a vital asset for the Tuskers this season.

Muhammed Saheef

Academy left-back Muhammed Saheef was promoted to the first team and has played a starting role in a majority of games in the Durand Cup.

Outgoings

Dimitrios Diamantakos

Seeing Diamantakos leave will feel akin to Alvaro Vazquez’s heartbreaking departure for the Manjappada. The Greek striker was a proven goalscorer under Vukomanovic and fans will hope he gets the same love at East Bengal, for whom he has already racked up two-goal contributions in the Durand Cup..

Marko Leskovic

Another fan-favourite, Croatian centre-back Leskovic departed the club for a return to his native league after three seasons of donning the Kerala Blasters’ yellow.

Daisuke Sakai

The Japanese winger only joined the Tuskers in ISL 2023-24 but left after a season, having scored thrice and assisted once in 21 appearances.

Fedor Cernych

The Lithuanian international also played a minor stake in Kerala’s last campaign but managed three goals and one assist before leaving.

Jeakson Singh

The talented defensive midfielder was finally pried away from the Tuskers after years of speculations and will now play for East Bengal FC.

Nishu Kumar

Nishu Kumar spent a fruitful campaign on loan at East Bengal last season and the Torchbearers decided that the versatile fullback was an excellent candidate, signing him permanently.

Nihal Sudeesh

Sudeesh also left the side sensing that he wouldn’t be given priority ahead of players like Noah Sadaoui and decided to join Punjab FC instead.

Givson Singh

Givson did not make any appearances while on loan from Odisha FC and the club decided to not renew his contract.

Karanjit Singh

Karanjit is the only goalkeeper who has become a free agent as the club already has four players in his department available for contention (three even after Sachin Suresh got injured).
