We have seen quite a few wonder strikes in the ISL in 2024.

The year 2024 was special for all the NorthEast United fans as they won their first trophy by winning the Durand Cup. Mohun Bagan and Mumbai City supporters too celebrated as they won the ISL Shield and the ISL Cup respectively. East Bengal on the other hand took home the Super Cup to open their account for this decade.

This year also brought us quite a few beautiful goals in the Indian Super League. While it was certainly not easy to make a list, here are the top 10 strikes from this calendar year:

10. Parag Shrivas โ€“ Hyderabad FC vs Mohammedan SC

Parag Shrivas demonstrated power and precision shooting from outside the box against Mohammedan SC. The Hyderabad FC playerโ€™s shot helped his side win 4-0 and pick up their first win of their 2024-25 ISL campaign.

9. Nestor Albiach โ€“ NorthEast United vs FC Goa

In Matchweek 4 of the 2024-25 ISL season, NorthEast United and FC Goa played out a 3-3 draw at the Fatorda Stadium. Nestor Albiachโ€™s strike was the highlight of the day as he dribbled past four players to calmly slot the ball into the back of the net.

8. Irfan Yadwad โ€“ Chennaiyin FC vs Jamshedpur FC

Matchweek 7 of the 2024-25 ISL season saw Irfan Yadwad come to life for the Marina Machans. The Indian striker showed exactly how dangerous his pace can be, picking up the ball at the halfway line before shooting from outside the box. Irfan celebrated his goal with the famous Siuuuu celebration as Chennaiyin FC won the game 5-1.

7. Carl McHugh โ€“ FC Goa vs Punjab FC

Matchweek 19 of the 2023-24 ISL season witnessed a powerful volley from Goaโ€™s Carl McHugh. The midfielder connected well with an incoming corner and nestled the ball into the top corner, helping his side draw 3-3 with Punjab FC.

6. Manvir Singh โ€“ Mohun Bagan vs NorthEast United

Unable to find space on the right wing, Manvir dribbled the ball toward the centre. The Indian international found space and hit a belter of a shot from outside of the box against NorthEast United in matchweek 11 of the 2024-25 ISL season. Mohun Bagan won the game 2-0 on the night.

5. Nestor Albiach โ€“ NorthEast United vs Punjab FC

NorthEast Unitedโ€™s superstar features on this list once again, this time for his wonder volley in matchweek 9 of the 2024-25 ISL season. The attacking midfielder scored a Zidane-esq volley into the top left corner of Punjab FCโ€™s net to help his side win 2-1 in Delhi.

4. Jeremy Manzorro โ€“ Jamshedpur FC vs Punjab FC

Jeremy Manzorro scored two freekicks on the night against Punjab FC in matchweek 15 of the 2023-24 ISL season. The second was a delight to watch in particular. Taking the kick miles outside the penalty box, the Jamshedpur FC midfielder expertly executed his strike to help his side win 4-0 on the night.

3. Jay Gupta โ€“ FC Goa vs Odisha FC

The 2023-24 ISL season saw the young left-back Jay Gupta make his mark. The FC Goa star scored a wonder goal in match week 14 against Odisha FC. Jayโ€™s powerful shot from outside the box moved all over the place before nestling into the top corner. The game ended 1-1 at the Kalinga Stadium.

2. Aakash Sangwan โ€“ Chennaiyin FC vs NorthEast United

Chennaiyin FC were in a do-or-die run near the end of their 2023-24 ISL campaign with every game being a must-win. Aakash Sangwan stepped up against NorthEast United as his side were trailing. The defender scored an Olympic goal from the corner to help his side win 2-1 on the night and qualify for the playoffs.

1. Yoell Van Nieff โ€“ Mumbai City vs Jamshedpur FC

Matchweek 2 of the 2024-25 ISL season saw Yoell Van Nieff score a wonder goal for the Islanders. The midfielder dribbled around the edge of the box before taking a belter of a shot into the top left corner of Albino Gomesโ€™ net. JFC eventually won the game 3-2.
